On the night of Friday, June 13, Israel attacked more than 100 targets in Iran. Israeli soldiers also eliminated three top military commanders of the "Iranian regime". This is stated in the message of the Israel Defense Forces.
Thus, it is reported that at night more than 200 Israeli Air Force fighters, guided by intelligence data, attacked more than 100 targets throughout Iran, including the hideouts of high-ranking Iranian military leaders.
It is noted that as a result of the strikes, the following were eliminated:
- Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Iranian regime, Mohammad Hossein Bagheri;
- Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami;
- Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya (Emergency Command), Gholam-Ali Rashid.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of June 13, Israel carried out airstrikes on facilities in Iran that it claims are related to the nuclear program. The aim of the attack was to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
According to reports, the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, was killed in the shelling. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei acknowledged the losses among the command and promised Israel revenge.
In addition, US President Donald Trump confirmed that he had been warned about Israel's plans to attack Iran, and stated that the United States was ready to defend its own forces in the region and support Israel in the event of retaliatory strikes.
