"Germany not considering supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine," – Pistorius

Germany is not considering the possibility of supplying Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Thursday, June 12. His words are quoted by the publication Novyny Live.

During the German Defense Minister's conversation with the press, the editor-in-chief of the publication thanked his country for its assistance to Ukraine and asked whether Germany was considering supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine.

"You asked me whether we are considering it. I answer you - no," Pistorius said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 12, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived on an official visit to Kyiv.

On May 12, German government spokesman Stefan Cornelius said that the German government would not comment on plans to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine.

On April 10, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that, according to then-German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, his country could not transfer TAURUS missiles to Ukraine.
