In May 2025, more than 5,000 tons of high-octane gasoline of the A-98/100 grades were imported to Ukraine.
This is announced by the enkorr publication, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that this is the largest monthly figure since 2009, or in the entire history of observations by the A-95 Consulting Group.

The increase in supplies of high-octane gasoline is due to the growth in demand for the resource due to the entry into force of the law on the mandatory addition of bioethanol to gasoline on May 1.
However, this norm does not apply to gasoline with an octane number of 98 and higher.
Some consumers were skeptical of gasoline with alcohol, choosing high-octane.
The report says that UPG remains the largest supplier.
The company imported 1,500 tons of the resource: 90% with the help of the Select Energy trader, the rest from the Polish manufacturer Warter Fuels.
In second and third place are Socar and OKKO.
The first company increased supplies from the Polish Citronex by 66%, to 780 tons, and the second - by 21%, to 570 tons, from PKN Orlen.
OKKO began selling A-98 in May.
The number of fuel importers in May increased to 20 from 15 in April.
The main producers remain PCK Schwedt (a resource for UPG) and Orlen S.A. (Poland, Lithuania), which shipped 1,350 tons (+83% to April volumes) and 1,330 tons (+80%), respectively.
Sales to Ukrainian traders and Unimot have been growing for two months in a row.
In May, the Polish holding shipped 390 tons of A-98, which is almost twice as much as in April.
The majority, namely 74%, was purchased from the Poles by WOG.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, from May 1, a requirement came into force according to which all gasoline with an octane number of less than 98 must contain 5% bioethanol.
