SSU will conduct security measures from June 12 to 16 in Lviv – document checks and car inspections possible

The Security Service of Ukraine reported that from June 12 to 16, counterintelligence (security) measures will be carried out in the city of Lviv.

The press service of the SSU Department in the Lviv Region has reported this.

Thus, employees of the National Police will also be involved in security measures. It is noted that the actions of law enforcement officers will cover the entire city.

"The goal is to prevent and neutralize threats of intelligence and subversive activities against our state and increase the security of citizens in the conditions of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine. Security measures will be carried out taking into account the legal regime of martial law," the message says.

The SSU warned that in this regard, restrictions on passage and travel through the streets, checking citizens' documents and inspecting cars are possible. Also, in the event of reasonable suspicions about individual individuals, their additional check may be carried out.

In addition, public areas and premises will be inspected to detect prohibited items.

The SSU asked citizens to be understanding of possible inconveniences and to respond appropriately to lawful actions and demands of law enforcement officers, as well as to have identification documents with them and observe the curfew.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the meantime, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and detained an agent of the russian FSB who was preparing a new russian strike on the Lviv Region. His task was to find military airfields. It is emphasized that the Security Service took measures to secure the locations of the Defense Forces.
