Drones to attack russian strategic bombers were developed by SSU engineers – sources

To conduct the Spiderweb special operation, UAVs were used that were specially developed and manufactured by SSU engineers.

Sources in the SSU told this to the Ukrainian News agency.

"These drones are a unique development of the Security Service of Ukraine using modern technologies, which allowed them to be remotely controlled in real time thousands of kilometers from the state border of Ukraine, bypass the enemy's existing countermeasures and effectively destroy strategic aviation," said the SSU interlocutor.

Such UAVs were created by the SSU to perform tasks deep behind enemy lines and taking into account the specifics of the destruction targets.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Security Service of Ukraine published a video with some of the destruction of strategic aviation aircraft of the aggressor country, the russian federation. In total, according to the results of the Spiderweb special operation, 41 russian aircraft were destroyed. A significant part is irretrievably destroyed, and some damaged vessels will take years to rebuild. On June 4, unique footage of the preparation of Spiderweb operation appeared, where houses with drones set off.
