One of the most massive strikes during war. RF attacked Ukraine with 452 air attack vehicles

On the night of June 6, russia carried out one of the largest air attacks during the full-scale invasion. In total, the occupiers used 452 air attack vehicles. The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 406 of them.

This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The attack began on June 5 at 08:00 pm and lasted until the morning of June 6. The enemy struck in a complex manner, using kamikaze drones, missiles of various types and launch directions.

In total, the russians used:

• 407 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones from the territory of the Kursk, Oryol, Voronezh Oblasts of the russian federation, Primorsky-Akhtarsk, as well as from the occupied Crimea;
• 6 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk and Voronezh Oblasts;
• 36 Kh-101 cruise missiles launched by Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bombers from the Saratov Oblast and over the Caspian Sea;
• 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles from the Dzhankoy region (occupied Crimea);
• 1 Kh-31P anti-radar missile from a tactical aircraft over the Black Sea.

The airspace of Ukraine was defended by aviation units, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, electronic warfare units and unmanned aerial vehicle systems.

According to preliminary data, 406 targets were destroyed:

• 199 enemy Shahed UAVs were shot down by air defense systems;
• 169 drones were suppressed or lost by electronic warfare systems;
• 4 Iskander ballistic missiles were destroyed, 2 more did not reach their targets;
• 30 Kh-101 cruise missiles and 2 Iskander-K missiles were destroyed.

Recorded:

• hits of air attack means in 13 locations;
• falling debris as a result of the shootdown - in 19 locations.

Yurii Ihnat, a spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed the scale of the attack in a telethon:

“In total, the russians used as many as 407 strike UAVs today on the territory of our state. We also have data on the enemy’s use of 6 ballistic missiles. And 38 cruise missiles, most of them were destroyed.”

According to him, the russians used a combined approach - a “creeping offensive” of drones from the north towards the western regions, while simultaneously striking with air- and ground-based missiles.

This is one of the largest attacks recorded during the war.
