Security assistance to Ukraine in 2025 will exceed the indicators of all previous years of a full-scale war.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov announced this on Wednesday, June 4, following the results of the 28th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the “Ramstein” format.
“We have significant results — in 2025, security assistance will exceed the indicators of all previous years of a full-scale war. Following the results of the meeting, our partners announced new assistance packages and important support steps,” Umerov wrote.
Results of “Ramstein”:
The United Kingdom — GBP 350 million for the supply of drones, which will allow Ukraine to transfer 100,000 drones in 2025.
Germany approved a new military assistance package of EUR 5 billion.
The package includes:
- financing of long-range weapons to be produced in Ukraine
- transfer of air defense systems, weapons and ammunition
The Netherlands — an aid package worth EUR 400 million, which includes a mine-clearing ship, boats and naval drones.
Belgium announced:
- annual aid to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 1 billion until 2029,
- transfer of a mine-clearing ship.
Norway allocates:
- USD 700 million for drones, with a focus on supporting the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex,
- USD 50 million — to the NSATU Trust Fund.
Canada:
- USD 45 million for drones, electronic warfare equipment, IT solutions, as well as Coyote and Bison armored vehicles.
Sweden:
▪️ EUR 440 million — for international programs for the procurement of artillery ammunition, drones and other weapons for Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the previous meeting in the Ramstein format was held in April 2025. Discussions during the meeting led to new commitments to provide military assistance to Ukraine from allied countries in the amount of over EUR 21 billion.
