On the night of Thursday, June 5, russian troops launched 103 drones, as well as an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile, over the territory of Ukraine. Air Defense Forces managed to shoot down 28 UAVs, 46 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
The press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of June 5 (from 11:30 p.m. on June 4), the enemy attacked with 103 Shahed-type strike UAVs and simulator UAVs of various types from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russian federation, Chauda - TOT Crimea, as well as with an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile from the Rostov Oblast - russian federation.
The main directions of the air strike were the Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Odesa Re gions.
"As of 10:00 a.m., air defenses neutralized 74 enemy Shahed-type UAVs (drones of other types) in the east, south and north of the country. 28 were shot down by fire weapons, 46 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare," the message says.
Enemy air attack means were recorded hitting 16 locations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of June 3, the russians launched 112 drones over the territory of Ukraine, the Air Defense Forces managed to shoot down 60 of them, and another 15 UAVs were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) means.
