Spiderweb Operation: destroyed Tu-95s had missiles on board and were preparing to strike

The destroyed Tu-95MS strategic bombers of the russian army were already equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles and were probably preparing to strike Ukraine.

This became known from the video from the cameras of Ukrainian kamikaze drones, which was published by the SSU.

The published footage shows that at least some of the russian aircraft had Kh-101 missiles on external suspensions.

Full fuel tanks were also signs of preparation for a combat flight. It was the fuel that caused large-scale fires at airfields after the attacks by Ukrainian UAVs.

As previously reported, on June 1, the SSU conducted a large-scale operation at several russian military airfields where strategic aviation was located.

According to the head of the Security Service, Vasyl Maliuk, "as a result of drone strikes, 41 russian strategic aircraft were hit, including the A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 M3 and Tu-160."

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that russia will no longer be able to restore some of the damaged aircraft. "Such a strike helps change the US rhetoric, in particular that Ukrainians supposedly have no maps," the head of state emphasized.
