Trump's Special Envoy Kellogg calls operation Spider Web escalation and said it was blow to RF image

US President's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg said that the massive drone strike by the Ukrainian Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) on russian airfields with bombers is an escalation of the war. He said this in an interview with Fox News.

Kellogg said that the risk of unforeseen consequences in war increases significantly when elements of the key infrastructure of the state are destroyed, in particular components of the nuclear triad, while the United States is trying to prevent this.

"When you attack part of the national survival system of the enemy, which is their triad, it means that your risk level increases because you don't know what the other side is going to do. You're not sure, and that's what they actually did... I think that's what we're trying to avoid. We wouldn't want to get to that point," Kellogg said.

He also said that he considered the SSU operation a serious blow to the image of the russian federation, which was more important than the material damage caused by the attack on the bombers.

"This operation was a serious blow to the image. It showed that Ukraine is not going to give up. Ukraine, in essence, says: "We can play this game too," Kellogg said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that the US President did not know that the Security Service of Ukraine was preparing an attack on russian airfields.

US officials expect a russian strike on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure or energy sector after operation Spider Web.
