Russians want to map Ukraine's TOT to "legalize" theft of Ukrainian land - intelligence

The aggressor country of russia is launching a new initiative to map the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Ukraine. The goal is to consolidate control over the seized lands and create a legal basis for the expropriation of Ukrainian property. This is announced in a statement by the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS).

Thus, according to the FIS, the russian Ministry of Agriculture announced a tender for about USD 4.89 million to create a unified map of agricultural lands. The order was placed on the Goszakupki platform.

"The project is aimed at formalizing the annexation, in particular through the administrative integration of the occupied regions into the russian federation's cadastral accounting system. At the same time, the public registers of rosreestr do not yet reflect these territories, and new cadastral districts have not been created for them," the intelligence agency added.

It is noted that the documentation provides for the use of data up to 2002 - the period before the start of land reform in Ukraine.

"Modern information is considered "undesirable" due to changes in the ownership structure and boundaries of plots. The Kremlin openly ignores Ukrainian legislation, using manipulative statistics to justify the export of grain and other resources," the intelligence officers said.

The intelligence officers also emphasized that this initiative is "another step towards legitimizing the occupation and an attempt to give criminal actions a pseudo-legal form."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russia is taking students from temporarily occupied Luhansk to eliminate the consequences of a fuel oil spill in Anapa. They are being blackmailed with the loss of a place in a dormitory or expulsion.
