Sumy regional authorities announce forced evacuation of residents from 11 settlements in region

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hyhorov, has signed an order on the mandatory evacuation of residents of 11 more settlements in the Sumy District.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration has stated this on Telegram.

The decision was made in view of the constant threat to the lives of the civilian population as a result of shelling of border communities.

Given the constant threat to the lives of the civilian population as a result of shelling, the authorities have ordered the mandatory evacuation of residents of 11 more settlements in the Sumy District.

Evacuation is being carried out from the following settlements:

- Horobivka (Richky rural community)

- Shtanivka, Voronivka, Yanchenky (Bilopillia urban community)

- Tsymbalivka, Shkurativka (Vorozhba urban community)

- Krovne, Mykolaivka, Rudnivka, Spaske, Kapitanivka (Mykolaiv rural community).

The authorities promise to provide everyone in need with transportation, humanitarian aid, temporary accommodation and social payments.

"We urge residents not to delay the decision to evacuate. Remaining in a zone of constant danger is a direct threat to your life and health. 213 settlements in the Sumy Region are subject to mandatory evacuation. The enemy continues to terrorize the border region, and our common task is to save everyone's life," the Sumy Regional Military Administration said in a statement.
