On the night of Thursday, May 29, russian troops launched 90 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 10 of them, another 46 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare means.
This was announced by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of May 29 (from 11:20 pm on May 28), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 90 Shahed-type strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol and Kursk (all - russia).
A feature of this attack was the massive use of drones in front-line areas.
"As of 09:30 am, air defenses neutralized 56 enemy Shahed UAVs (other types of drones) in the east and north of the country. 10 were shot down by fire weapons, 46 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare," the report says.
Enemy air attack vehicles were hit in 9 frontline locations in the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk Regions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of May 28, the russians launched 5 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, a Kh-59/69 guided missile, and 88 drones over Ukraine.
Air defense forces shot down 34 UAVs, and another 37 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.
