Former captain of the Ukrainian national football team Anatolii Tymoshchuk, who was recently sanctioned, complained to russian propagandists that he was being pressured by the Ukrainian side.
He told the TASS propaganda agency about this.
"From the first days of any pressure, the club has provided me with all kinds of support. This is especially valuable when such paradoxical processes are taking place, where they are trying to accuse me personally of what all the teams in the world do on a regular basis, donating equipment to all kinds of charitable projects. We protect the honor and dignity of the club, as well as the interests of football around the world," the football player said.
Anatolii Tymoshchuk has been living and working in russia for a long time. He is currently an assistant head coach of the russian Zenit.
He participated in an auction where a football uniform was being played. The funds received from the sale were transferred to the needs of the russian army.
Let us remind you that Anatolii Tymoshchuk was informed in absentia about suspicion of financing military units of the aggressor country, the russian federation. Anatolii Tymoshchuk's ex-wife Nadia Navrotska commented on his participation in the auction, which was organized to raise funds for the Kursk Oblast. According to Navrotska, in this way Tymoshchuk is trying to show loyalty to the Kremlin's political course.
