Ukraine is increasing the production of its own strike drones, ballistic and cruise missiles in order to respond to the aggressor country russia in a mirror response to attacks on our state.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an evening video address on Tuesday, May 27.
Zelenskyy stressed that during a meeting with the military, plans were discussed to increase the production of drones and missiles in order to respond to russian strikes. According to him, Ukraine must act preventively.
“Held a long meeting with the military: Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Hnatov, the Minister of Defense was also there, Umerov. The issue of planning our actions, our readiness to respond to Russian strikes, to their threats, and also to act preventively, and this means increasing the production of our drones, our missiles.
Of course, we cannot speak publicly about existing plans, about our capabilities, but the perspective is clear: to respond in a mirror manner to all Russian threats and challenges. They there, in Russia, must clearly feel the consequences of what they are doing against Ukraine. This will happen. Strike drones, interceptors, cruise missiles, Ukrainian ballistics are key elements. We must produce everything," Zelenskyy said.
Entrepreneurs are being involved in the production of weapons, and agreements with European partners on investments are being prepared in the near future, the President noted.
