For the aggressor country, russia, the cost of one day of war against Ukraine is about USD 1 billion. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, in an interview with the Azerbaijani publication Haqqin.
"The cost of one day of war for russia is almost one billion dollars. How much good they could bring to their people for this money! And what are they doing instead? They are sowing death!" he said.
Sybiha also stated that sanctions against the russian federation are in effect, but they need to be strengthened and the ways in which russia circumvents the restrictions should be blocked.
"Russia is looking for and finding ways to circumvent sanctions. That is why secondary sanctions are important, especially against third countries that help russia circumvent them. I can tell you for sure: sanctions are working! They need to be strengthened and the ways in which russia circumvents sanctions should be blocked. Otherwise, we will not be able to stop russia," the minister added.
As a reminder, President Zelenskyy stated that russia is not going to end the war, but is preparing new offensives.
