French President Emmanuel Macron suggested that US President Donald Trump "realizes" that Russian leader Vladimir Putin "lied" to him about readiness for peace amid the massive shelling of Ukraine by aggressor state russia.

"What is happening in Ukraine is unacceptable and extremely serious. We cannot say that we are ready to talk and then bomb. This double language shows the insincere nature of the discussions that may have taken place," Macron said.
He added: "I think President Trump realizes that when President Putin told him that he was ready for peace, he lied to him."
In addition, Macron said he wanted Trump's "anger" to be "translated into action" after the weekend, when russia carried out massive attacks on Ukraine,
"In the last few hours, we have seen Donald Trump's anger again. It is a form of impatience. All I want now is for it to be translated into action," he said.
Macron also called for "as long a ceasefire as possible." It is noted that, like other European leaders, the French President wants to set a "deadline" for putin to cease fire, "after which" there will be "massive repression."
