US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg has become the first representative of the American administration to speak out about the russian federation's large-scale attack on Ukrainian cities and villages.
Kellogg made his statement public on X.
He posted a photo of Kyiv engulfed in fire and called the night strikes a "clear violation of the 1977 Geneva Peace Protocols". "This is Kyiv. The indiscriminate killing of women and children at night in their homes is a clear violation of the 1977 Geneva Peace Protocols designed to protect innocents," Kellogg wrote.

He also stressed the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities: "These attacks are shameful. Stop the killing. Ceasefire now."
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to the international community on that day not to stand aside. He asked, in particular, the US to increase pressure on russia.
