Polish presidential candidate Rafał Trzaskowski said that his country will only be safe when Ukraine becomes a member of NATO. His words are quoted by Radio Zet.
Trzaskowski noted that he has been watching russian dictator vladimir putin for a long time and knows that he only understands the language of force. In his opinion, if there are no security guarantees, putin will arm himself and move on.
"I did not say that this will be an easy process. Poland should strive to accept Ukraine into NATO. Only then will we be safe," Trzaskowski emphasized.
According to the presidential candidate, putin will not dare to attack Poland and Ukraine as NATO member states.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, voting began in Poland on May 18 in the presidential election, in which 13 candidates took part.
On May 20, the President of the Institute of National Remembrance, the presidential candidate of Poland from the Law and Justice party, Karol Nawrocki, announced that he would not support the ratification of Ukraine's accession to NATO.
On May 22, Nawrocki announced that he would not sign the law on the ratification of Ukraine's accession to NATO.
