Solvent banks of Ukraine in January-March of this year received UAH 39.964 billion in profit.
This is evidenced by data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), Ukrainian News Agency reports.
As in previous periods, the most profitable bank remains the state-owned PrivatBank with an indicator of UAH 16.889 billion.
The second and third positions are also occupied by state-owned banks - Oschadbank with a profit of UAH 4.775 billion, and Ukreximbank with a profit of UAH 2.468 billion.
Raiffeisen Bank ranks 4th (UAH 2.215 billion), and Universal Bank ranks 5th (UAH 1.737 billion).
Next in descending order are the following banks: FUIB (UAH 1.553 billion), Credit Agricole Bank (UAH 1.366 billion), UkrSibbank (UAH 1.318 billion), Citibank (UAH 1.228 billion), and OTP Bank ranks 10th (UAH 1.189 billion).
The NBU reported that 50 out of 60 banks made a profit, while 10 banks showed losses of UAH 263 million.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, solvent banks, according to preliminary data, received UAH 103.7 billion in net profit in 2024 due to the steady growth in the volume of high-quality loans and investments in government bonds, which is 25% more compared to 2023 (profit amounted to UAH 83 billion).
