President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that he held a long meeting with the military, discussed the military basis of diplomacy before the next technical meeting with the aggressor country russia.

Zelenskyy reported this in an evening address.

"Held a long meeting with our military. Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Hnatov, all intelligence, the Ministry of Defense. About the situation on our front, our prospects, our activity, which we are preparing. We also discussed the military basis of diplomacy - the next technical meeting. We are working to ensure that the meeting takes place as soon as possible," the message says.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine's interest is not to drag out the war, but to be ready for any development of the situation.

"It is obvious to the world that it is Russia's fault that the war is still going on. Ukraine is ready for the fastest possible steps - a real ceasefire and the establishment of a new security architecture. We are working on everything for our part. We need Russia's mirror readiness. It is not there now, and this cannot be changed without pressure from the world. We are providing our part of the pressure, and most importantly - with our defense, active actions," the President emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that there is no specific agreement on the next meetings with Ukraine, a few days after US President Donald Trump said that they would begin talks on a ceasefire "immediately."

Meanwhile, during a briefing on the results of a conversation with US President Donald Trump after his call to russian leader vladimir putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed that a meeting of Ukraine, russia, the United States and representatives of European countries in Turkey, the Vatican or Switzerland is being considered.
