Ukraine is discussing with partners the next meetings with representatives of the aggressor country of russia. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an evening video address.
"We are talking with partners about the next meetings with the russians - direct talks, for which Ukraine is absolutely ready, and in any format that will yield results. I am grateful to everyone who helps us," the President said.
In his opinion, it is important that the US continues to participate in the process of bringing peace closer.
"It is America that russia fears, and it is American influence that can save many lives if it influences putin to end the war," Zelenskyy believes.
Recall, earlier Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is ready for any format of negotiations with the aggressor country of russia, but on condition that Moscow stops making unrealistic demands.
On May 19, US President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation with russian dictator putin. Following the conversation, Trump said that Ukraine and russia "will immediately begin negotiations on a ceasefire."
