Hydrotechnical structures in Sumy Region damaged by shelling, no flooding recorded at present – Regional Military Administration
As a result of another attack by russian troops, hydrotechnical structures in the Velyka Pysarivka community of the Sumy Region were damaged. Currently, there is no flooding of settlements.
The Regional Military Administration’s press service has reported this.
"Currently, there is no flooding of settlements. The water level is stable, without rising. The situation is under constant control of specialists," the report says.
The Okhtyrka District Military Administration was instructed to promptly hold a meeting of the Commission for Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies with the involvement of representatives of the Regional Office of Water Resources.
"According to the conclusions of the meeting, there is no threat to the population today. In the event of changes, we will promptly inform residents. We ask you to remain calm and trust only official sources," the Regional Military Administration added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of May 19, russian invaders launched a strike with drones on the Shostka District of the Sumy Region.
Due to the worsening security situation in the Sumy Region, more than 60% of the population was evacuated from 202 settlements. By the morning of May 19, the russians had carried out 135 attacks.
