Russian aggressors launch 62 UAVs over Ukraine, more than half of which shot down – AFU Air Forces

On the night of Saturday, May 17, russian troops attacked Ukraine with 62 strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

As noted, the enemy launched its UAVs from several directions: Kursk, Oryol, Shatalovo - russian federation; Hvardiiske – TOT Crimea.

"The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups. As of 12:00 p.m., it was confirmed that 36 Shahed attack UAVs (drones of other types) were shot down in the east, north, south, west and center of the country. Six enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the report says.

According to the latest data, the Sumy, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk Regions were affected by the enemy attack.
