As a result of an enemy UAV strike on a bus, which occurred on the morning of Saturday, May 17, near Bilopillia in the Sumy Region, 9 people were killed and 7 were injured.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration and the State Emergency Service announced this on the Telegram channels, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Today, as a result of an enemy strike on a bus near Bilopillia, 9 civilians were killed. Seven people were injured, three of them are in serious condition. This is another war crime by Russia. A deliberate strike on civilian transport that does not pose any threat," the Sumy Regional Military Administration said in a statement.
The bus, which was targeted by the russians, was heading towards Sumy.
Medics and rescue services urgently left for the scene.
Specialists of the State Emergency Service used special tools to unblock the bodies of the deceased from the damaged vehicle, and the injured were provided with assistance.
