The occupiers are installing electronic warfare equipment in the border area, the Ukrainian military is trying to destroy the equipment as much as possible so as not to give the enemy a free hand.
The spokesman for the Siversk Operational and Tactical Troops Group Vadym Mysnyk has reported this on the air of My-Ukraina (We-Ukraine).
"When moving artillery or military equipment in the border area, we also do not allow it to do so freely, we immediately determine these directions, these movements and destroy them as much as possible. Yes, in the Sumy Region, the enemy is actively using small groups of infantry, trying to increase the areas of active combat operations, but here we already have our drones, we are also calculating and destroying them as much as possible, not allowing them to accumulate, develop success and penetrate our territories," the spokesman for the Siversk OTTG reported.
It is also reported that the occupiers continue to shell the border areas of Ukraine, concentrating their strikes on the Sumy Region, where they have the largest accumulation of manpower and equipment.
"But they do not stop shelling other areas of our group's area of responsibility - this is the Chernihiv Region and part of the Kharkiv Region. The enemy is trying to use various types of weapons, practically everything they have in stock. They are trying to use more, as in the past, artillery, mortars, barrel artillery, trying to constantly fetter our troops, keep the border areas in tension," he noted.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in Sumy they explained why restrictions on movement were introduced on key streets of the city.
On May 15, due to the threat of missile strikes by the aggressor country russia, restrictions on the movement of vehicles and pedestrians were introduced in Sumy.
