In the first quarter of 2025, direct revenues of the mobile operator Kyivstar (Kyiv), received from the provision of digital services and products, increased by 140.7% compared to the same period last year to UAH 329 million.
This is stated in the company's financial report, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The company's total revenue for the first quarter increased by 49.5% to UAH 10,720 million compared to the same period last year.
In January-March, Kyivstar increased its EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) by 64.2% to UAH 5.955 billion compared to the same period in 2024 (UAH 3.627 billion).
The EBITDA margin increased by 5 pp to 55.6%.
The report states that the share of 4G users in the total mobile user base of Kyivstar in the first quarter increased to 63.1%, and mobile Internet consumption per subscriber increased by 21.2% compared to the same period last year.
Kyivstar's 4G subscriber base is 14.3 million users.
The multi-service user segment also showed growth of 40.7%.
The digital medical platform Helsi maintained high growth rates in the first quarter of 2025, increasing revenues by 41% compared to last year.
In the first quarter, the revenue of the Kyivstar TV film and television platform increased by 177% compared to last year, and the number of active users (MAU) increased by 34.9%.
Kyivstar's capital investments in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 126% and amounted to UAH 2.422 billion, while the capital investment intensity reached 22.6%.
On April 2, 2025, the official closing of the Uklon acquisition transaction took place.
Uklon's annual revenue in 2024 amounted to USD 65 million, with a compound annual growth rate of 30% for 2021-2024 in dollar terms.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-September 2024, Kyivstar reduced its EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) by 2.6% to UAH 15.136 billion compared to the same period in 2023 (UAH 15.547 billion).
