Ukrainian actor and TV presenter Maksym Nelipa was killed at the front at the age of 48. This was reported by his brother Andrii Nelipa on Facebook.
"Yes, it's true. My brother, a famous Ukrainian film actor and TV presenter, was killed in the russian-Ukrainian war (...) Maks was not only a showman, comedian, avid fisherman, but also a soldier, a defender of Ukraine. First in the Territorial Defense, then in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Recently, he "performed" in the Unmanned Systems Forces - he arranged "incendiary" fireshows for the russian occupiers with the help of UAVs," Andrii Nelipa wrote.
The military man's wife also wrote a post about Maksym Nelipa's death. Tamara Nelipa has now made her page private. At the moment, the wife has not been informed about the detailed circumstances of the death, the investigation is ongoing.
"The circumstances are being investigated. As explained in his unit, where he served recently and was appointed commander. I have no words and tears. My condolences to our children, my deepest condolences to Maksyk's mother, family and friends! I condolence with myself and all of us! This is an unbearable loss that we will now have to live with. Be damned, war!" Toma Nelipa wrote.
Maksym Nelipa was the host of many projects on Ukrainian television: "Lose a Million" (ICTV channel, 2004-2006), the apartment lottery "Who's There?" (UT-1 and "1+1" TV channels, 2007-2009), the project "People's Star" (Ukraine TV channel, 2010-2011). He also participated in "Dancing with the Stars" and "Diesel Show".
In March 2022, Nelipa decided to join the Ukrainian Defense Forces and go to war. He did not appear on social media for a year and returned only on his birthday, October 15, 2023.
