Thanks to its superiority in technology and personnel training, the Third Assault Brigade inflicts significant losses on the russians in the Kharkiv Region, with the ratio of losses sometimes reaching 1 to 12.
Andrii Biletskyi, the founder of the Third Assault Brigade and commander of the Third Army Corps, has reported this in an interview with Yurii Butusov, the editor-in-chief of Censor.net.
On the Lyman axis, the Third Assault Brigade holds the longest strip of over 50 km of front in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is continuously attacked by units of the russian 1st Tank Army and the 20th Combined Arms Army of the russian federation. In addition, the Third Assault Brigade uses the brigade as a "fire team" outside its area of responsibility.
"[The brigade] is doing well. Our losses to the enemy have not been three to five to one for a long time. Sometimes, when the enemy is actively operating, it is 10-12 to one. Why is that? We have better infantry, better management... The most important thing is that we have a different technological structure. Our unmanned air-based systems, ground-based robotic complexes, control systems, technical reconnaissance, and electronic warfare are an order of magnitude better than the enemy's," said Biletskyi.
A few weeks ago, the russians attempted an offensive in the lane of four battalions at once and lost 149 soldiers killed - this is a record number of confirmed irretrievable enemy losses in a day during the entire full-scale war.
In April 2025, the Third Assault Brigade updated its own record, once again becoming the first in the number of drones shot down in the electronic score rating among all linear brigades of the Ground Forces. The brigade also ranks first in terms of the number of confirmed targets destroyed by strike drones and artillery, although it has two incomplete artillery divisions.
Biletskyi reported that the unit pays great attention to personnel training and technological development: it studies new technologies and tactics, invents its own and synchronizes all components - the design department, technical intelligence, the work of UAV calculations, electronic warfare and air defense. "All this must be connected into a large, synchronized orchestra. Do not believe that the tool works for people and for the team. It does not work... To launch 200 FPVs per day, you need not only to have 200 FPVs, but also to dispatch the sorties so that none of them suppresses the other, hitting the targets in the directions that are needed, and not those that the pilot saw. This is complex mathematics," said the commander.
