Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy intends to discuss with the russian dictator the issue of a ceasefire and an exchange of prisoners in the format of "all for all". He reported this in an interview with Liberation.
"If I meet with him, we must come out with a political victory - a ceasefire, an exchange of all prisoners for all prisoners or something like that," Zelenskyy said.
"It is important to understand the purpose of my meeting with Putin," he explained.
"We cannot agree on everything with him now, it is impossible...] But we must somehow find a format for ending the war," Zelenskyy added.
According to him, "the Russians will not trust" the Ukrainians, and the Ukrainians "will not trust the Russians." Therefore, according to the head of state, only external mediators can guarantee compliance with all agreements.
When asked about the duration of the conflict, Zelenskyy noted:
"Nobody knows how long it will last. But not ten years. Ukraine will not stand it... This is expensive for everyone, and not only for friends, but also for enemies," he summed up.
Recall that on May 11, russian dictator vladimir putin publicly stated russia's alleged readiness for bilateral negotiations with Ukraine. He proposed holding them in Turkey this Thursday, May 15.
Zelenskyy said that he would personally wait for putin for bilateral negotiations.
In addition, Trump admitted that he may visit Turkey on May 15 to participate in the negotiations between Zelenskyy and putin.
