Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has urged Brazil to support a 30-day ceasefire and facilitate russian dictator vladimir putin's participation in peace talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Turkey on May 15.
Sybiha wrote about this on the social network X.
"This week I spoke with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira about peace efforts and active diplomatic contacts. I urged Brazil to support an unconditional 30-day ceasefire as a basis for effective peace talks," he wrote.
Sybiha confirmed to his colleague Zelenskyy's readiness to meet with putin in Turkey and "called on Brazil to use its authoritative voice in the dialogue with russia so that this direct meeting at the highest level takes place."
As a reminder, on May 11, russian dictator vladimir putin publicly stated that russia was supposedly ready for bilateral talks with Ukraine. He suggested holding them in Turkey this Thursday, May 15.
Zelenskyy said that he would personally wait for putin for bilateral talks.
In addition, Trump admitted that he might visit Turkey on May 15 to participate in the talks between Zelenskyy and putin.
