The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas believes that the aggressor country of russia is not interested in peace with Ukraine, but is simply trying to buy time. She told reporters about this, writes the Independent.
"I do not think they are interested in peace. They are still bombing Ukraine. If they were interested in peace, they could stop right now," Kallas said at the Democracy Summit in Copenhagen.
"Russia is clearly playing games, trying to buy time," she added.
Recall, on May 11, russian dictator vladimir putin publicly stated russia's alleged readiness for bilateral talks with Ukraine. He proposed holding them in Turkey this Thursday, May 15.
Zelenskyy said that he would personally wait for putin for bilateral talks.
In addition, Trump admitted that he may visit Turkey on May 15 to participate in the negotiations between Zelenskyy and putin.
