Russia illegally deprives of liberty at least 13 employees of Zaporizhzhia NPP - Energoatom

13 employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP have been illegally deprived of liberty in temporarily occupied territories. This was reported by the press center of Energoatom.

As noted, since the beginning of the occupation of the largest station in Europe, russia has begun unprecedented pressure on nuclear workers who refused to go over to the enemy's side and sign worthless "contracts" with Rosatom.

"About five thousand specialists were able to leave the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, and Energoatom national nuclear energy generating company is taking care of their employment in other divisions of the company. However, it is known about at least 13 employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, whom the occupiers deprived of their freedom in the temporarily occupied territory.

Of these, seven were "sentenced" to imprisonment, three are still in prison awaiting fake verdicts. The fate of three more remains unknown - they are considered missing. In addition, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia tortured to death the diver of the Zaporizhzhia NPP Andrii Honcharuk," the report says.

It is also noted that the invaders continue to use the Zaporizhzhia NPP as a military base. Military vehicles are parked in the engine rooms of the units, explosive weapons are stored. The station's equipment is increasingly degrading, and there can be no talk of any safe scenario for restarting the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

"All illegally detained nuclear workers must be immediately released from russian captivity. The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant must immediately be transferred to the control of its legal operator, Energoatom, and russia must withdraw its military and military equipment from the plant. This is the only way to restore nuclear and radiation safety for the entire continent!" the company emphasizes.

We remind you that the russians are illegally holding at least 30 employees of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and residents of the occupied Enerhodar
