During April 2025, the defense department codified and admitted to operation in the Defense Forces of Ukraine 12 models of automotive equipment for various purposes, more than 60 percent of which are of Ukrainian production.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with reference to the Main Department for Supporting the Life Cycle of Armaments and Military Equipment.
Since the beginning of 2025, a total of more than 50 models of automotive equipment have been codified and admitted to operation for the needs of the Defense Forces.
As noted by Deputy Minister of Defense Valerii Churkin, among them are wheeled evacuation tractors-transporters, tractors, vehicles for transporting oversized cargo, modern all-terrain chassis for a wide range of applications, truck cranes, buses, passenger pickup trucks, etc.
In addition to Ukrainian cars, the fleet of automotive equipment has been replenished with models of leading world automakers.
"The mobility of the troops and the prompt execution of logistics tasks depend on the available fleet of vehicles. Domestic manufacturers have already mastered the production of individual models of vehicles. The troops need more modern vehicles with wide functionality," said Deputy Minister of Defense Valerii Churkin.
