Man shoots people in Kyiv Region. Several people killed

A man shot citizens in the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka, Kyiv Region, resulting in several deaths.

The press service of the Kyiv Region Police announced this in a statement on Thursday, May 8.

"The Kyiv Region Police are establishing the circumstances of the shooting in the Bucha District, resulting in the death of several people. Today, May 8, at 3:22, the police received a report that a man shot citizens in the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka," the statement said.

Currently, law enforcement officers are busy searching for the shooter. However, local Telegram channels report that the man has allegedly already surrendered to the police. According to unverified information, he used a machine gun, but is not a military serviceman. The reason is called the fact that his neighbors allegedly poisoned his dog or dogs. There have been no official comments on this yet.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 21, a man in military uniform opened fire from a machine gun in the courtyard of a high-rise building in the city of Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk Region.

On March 26, a 52-year-old Kyiv resident shot a man in the Obolonskyi District of Kyiv and fled the scene.

Earlier, on March 20, a man opened fire in an office building in Kyiv, wounding a woman with a rubber bullet, and later drove to a bridge and committed suicide.
