In 2024, Poland recorded record-breaking activity of foreign buyers in the real estate market - 17,330 apartments and commercial properties were purchased. The most active investors were citizens of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Polish publication Rzeczpospolita.
The main demand was observed in large cities: 3,535 apartments were sold in Warsaw, 1,523 in Kraków, and 1,491 in Wrocław. The average area of the purchased property was 58 square meters.
Ukrainians confidently lead the list of buyers, but Belarusians, russians, Indians, British and Vietnamese are also active investors.
Prices in Warsaw seem attractive to many foreigners, because real estate there is cheaper than real estate in Kyiv.
Most buyers pay in cash, avoiding a mortgage, and often purchase several apartments at once. Often these are investments in new buildings, but many foreigners buy housing because they have been living in Poland for a long time and plan to stay. New real estate agencies, founded by Ukrainians, have begun to appear in Poland, which are primarily focused on Poland.
As a reminder, a Polish court found a man guilty of attacking a Ukrainian couple because their young daughter used the Ukrainian language.
