The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine the Visliuk (Donkey) ground robotic complex. It is designed to perform a wide range of military tasks. This is stated in the department's message.
As reported, the Visliuk complex was manufactured by a team of Ukrainian engineers at the request of the military.
The platform has compact dimensions, fits into the body of a minibus or a trailer-carriage. It is equipped with two silent electric motors and metal tracks, which provide high cross-country ability over difficult terrain. The platform confidently moves off-road, sand, and swamps. At the same time, the robot can transport up to 200 kg of payload. The traction force of the electric motors can also provide evacuation functions. It is enough to pull out an SUV that is stuck in a swamp.
It is noted that the Visliuk is manufactured in various modifications - for performing tasks in logistics, evacuation, mining, and installation of engineering barriers. It can also serve as a mobile platform for moving radio communication repeater towers, combat modules, and day or night surveillance systems. It has robust control channels. This ground robotic complex can optionally be equipped with a fiber-optic module. The Visliuks operate in any weather conditions. The battery capacity is enough for several hours of continuous movement at maximum speed.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in April the Ministry of Defense admitted more than 120 new weapons into service.
