British military intelligence reports new record for russian losses at front

Russia is approaching a new peak in losses at the front. This year could become a record for Moscow in terms of losses among the military.

This was reported by the official page of the British Ministry of Defense on the social network X (Twitter).

According to analysts, russia has probably lost about 950,000 soldiers killed and wounded in the war against Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. At the same time, in the first four months of 2025, the russian federation has probably lost about 160,000 soldiers.

"If this rate of losses continues until the end of 2025, this year will become the most expensive year of the war in terms of losses of russian personnel, continuing the trend of increasing losses from year to year," the summary says.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the average daily losses of the russians in April 2025 amounted to just over 1,200 people, and in total during the month - 36,000 people.
