President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared new details of the meeting with Trump in the Vatican. He said that the personal conversation yielded results.
The Head of State stated this during a meeting with journalists, the RBC-Ukraine website reported.
With President Trump, I think, we had the best conversation of all. Maybe it was the shortest, but the most substantive. With all due respect to our teams, but the tete-a-tete format, in my opinion, worked," he said.
According to the President, the subsoil agreement itself makes it possible to protect future US investments, to protect, in particular, Ukraine and Ukrainians with air defense.
"And that's why we are ready for the contribution to be air defense systems. I told him about the required quantity - he promised that they would work on it, and these are not free things. And I would like to have the opportunity for us to have access to the purchase of American weapons," Zelenskyy noted.
