US President Donald Trump will host a military parade in honor of the 250th anniversary of the American army on his birthday on June 14.
This is reported by the CNN and AP portals with reference to officials.
"To celebrate the 250th birthday of the US Army on June 14, President Trump will honor American veterans, active duty military personnel and military history with a military parade!" said Deputy White House Press Secretary Anna Kelly.
Detailed plans of the army for the parade provide for the participation of more than 6,600 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, seven orchestras, and, possibly, several thousand civilians, the Associated Press reported.
According to Army spokesman Steve Warren, the parade will feature units from at least 11 corps and divisions from across the country, including the Stryker Battalion, tank and infantry units, artillery systems and historic military equipment.
The parade will be part of a nationwide celebration of the armed forces' anniversary that has been planned for more than a year. Veterans' organizations, military colleges and reenactors will also participate in the events.
