President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree on the entry into force of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to introduce personal sanctions against the former freelance adviser to the Office of the President Oleksii Arestovych and blogger Myroslav Oleshko.
This is stated in the decree of the head of state No. 267/2025.
Now Arestovych and Oleshko will be deprived of state awards of Ukraine, their assets will be blocked, trade operations will be limited and the transit of resources, flights and transportation through the territory of Ukraine will be stopped. Although Arestovych and Oleshko are physically outside Ukraine.
They will also not be allowed to distribute their media on the territory of Ukraine, and their licenses to carry out certain types of activities must be terminated.
Oleksii Arestovych, a former adviser to the Office of the President, was dismissed after a scandalous statement about the air defense system and the Dnipro tragedy. Earlier and later he attracted the attention of the media with provocative statements. Currently he lives in New York; his departure abroad raised questions to which the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine did not provide clear answers. Blogger Myroslav Oleshko left Ukraine with fake documents and called for evasion of mobilization.
Recall that the former advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksii Arestovych, who currently lives outside Ukraine, stated that when he left Ukraine a year ago, he did not know that he would not be able to return in the near future.
The deceased professor and linguist Iryna Farion called for the confiscation of Ukrainian passports and the deprivation of Ukrainian citizenship of draft evaders who fled abroad and did not return, citing Arestovych as an example.
Earlier, Arestovych stated the need for negotiations with the aggressor country russia.
