Victim in Kyiv hospitalized after night attack, explosive part of downed drone worked with delay – Klitschko

In Kyiv, a victim was hospitalized after a night attack, the explosive part of the downed drone worked with a delay. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"One victim was hospitalized in the capital after a night attack on Kyiv. The explosive part of the downed drone worked with a delay. An elderly woman, a resident of the Darnytskyi District, was injured," he said.

In turn, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported on the Telegram channel that the detonation of unknown explosive objects was recorded in the Darnytskyi District.

"About 10 explosions in the forest park zone. There is also information about an explosion on the roof of a residential building, as a result of which its roof was partially damaged. At the moment, one victim is known. The information is being clarified," he said.

Tkachenko said that sappers, rescuers and medics are working at the scene, and police teams are providing security for the scene and preventing unauthorized persons from entering.

He suggested that cluster munitions that the russians scattered from UAVs are likely exploding, but it will be possible to say for sure after a special examination to determine the origin of these explosive elements.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the acting head of the Shevchenkivskyi district state administration, Oleksandr Popovtsev, reported that in the Darnytskyi District of Kyiv, in the Bortnychi neighborhood, explosions of delayed cluster munitions were recorded, which could have been scattered during today's night UAV attack.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs reported that pyrotechnic groups of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are working in the Darnytskyi District of Kyiv, and access to the area, which is potentially dangerous for citizens, is limited by police officers. Kyiv residents were urged not to touch unknown objects, and if they are found, to report them to the 101 or 102 hotline.
