Number of cases of human rights violations during mobilization increases – Lubinets

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets announced the strengthening of legal responsibility for violations of citizens' rights during mobilization.

He announced this at a session of the Rada, which was broadcast on a YouTube channel by Oleksii Honcharenko, a Member of Parliament from the European Solidarity faction, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"I can confirm that according to our official documents, the legal response from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as well as relevant law enforcement agencies, has improved. Criminal proceedings are being opened," said the Ombudsman.

According to him, even despite the increase in the number of appeals from citizens, the state demonstrates its readiness to respond to illegal actions of individuals who violate the law during mobilization measures.

"All those who violate human rights do so illegally. The time will definitely come when they will receive a legal assessment of their actions," Lubinets added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, servicemen from territorial recruitment and social support centers without combat experience will be sent to areas of combat operations.
