Railway worker killed in Odesa Region due to russian shelling – Ukrzaliznytsia

Russian troops shelled the railway infrastructure of the Odesa Region, a railway worker was killed.

The press service of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia has reported this.

"The Odesa Region and the railway infrastructure of the region were under enemy shelling this night. There were no casualties at the workplaces, but, unfortunately, the enemy attack on Odesa took the life of a railway worker in his own home," the report said.

It is noted that as a result of the shelling, one of the sections was damaged: the tracks, the contact network and three freight cars were damaged. At the same time, passenger trains run according to the schedule.

"Railway workers are carrying out urgent restoration work so that freight trains can run to the ports without obstacles. Currently, they are heading along an alternative route," the department noted.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of May 1, russia launched a massive number of attack drones on Odesa in several waves, large-scale fires broke out in the city, and there were deaths and injuries as a result of the attack.

Also, on April 22, russian terrorist forces launched Shaheds on Odesa.
