On the night of May 1, russia massively launched several waves of strike drones at Odesa, large-scale fires broke out in the city, there were deaths and injuries as a result of the attack.
The head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper has reported this on Telegram.
As a result of the attack, civilian infrastructure in Odesa was damaged.
"The enemy attacked Odesa with strike drones. Much damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. Fires broke out in some places," the official wrote.
Kiper noted that all relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack. Information about the victims is being clarified.
The air alert in the Odesa Region lasted from 11:12 p.m. to 12:38 a.m. on the border of April 30 and May 1. During this time, enemy strike drones attacked the city in several waves, flying in from the Black Sea. Loud explosions were heard in the city repeatedly.
After the enemy air attack in various districts of Odesa, according to local authorities, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged. There were fires. A school suffered minor damage.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 22, russian terrorist troops launched Shaheds at Odesa.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised that the military command would strengthen the protection of the sky over Odesa.
