China is ready to promote peaceful conflict resolution and cooperate with the international community to achieve genuine peace in Ukraine through political means.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated this, the Chinese Foreign Ministry reported.
The Chinese Foreign Minister noted that the settlement of any disputes and conflicts in the international arena should be carried out by peaceful means.
"We must promote the peaceful settlement of disputes. Practice the concept of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security, and persistently resolve disputes and differences through peaceful means. China is ready to cooperate with the international community, especially the BRICS countries, to reach an international consensus on a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis and continue to play a constructive role in achieving genuine peace," Wang Yi said.
According to him, the priority is to support and adhere to the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and preserve the central role of the UN in the international system of relations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 18, the China International Development Cooperation Agency (China Aid) expressed its desire to participate in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
On February 21, Wang Yi stated that China supports the "recent consensus" between the US and russia on the war in Ukraine.
Recall that in July 2024, Chinese leader Xi Jinping stated that an early cessation of hostilities in Ukraine and the search for a political solution "meets the interests of all parties".
