Pakistan says it expects India to strike within 24-36 hours

Pakistan has said that India intends to take military action against it in the next 24-36 hours. Islamabad promises to give a "assured and decisive response".

Pakistan's Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar reported this on X (Twitter) on Wednesday, April 30.

Tarar published a video message in which he stated that India wants to attack Pakistan under the pretext of "baseless and fabricated allegations" of Islamabad's involvement in the recent incident in the territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

"Pakistan reiterates that any such military adventurism by India would be responded to assuredly and decisively. The International community must remain alive to the reality that the onus of escalatory spiral and its ensuing consequences shall squarely lie with India," Tarar said.

Recall that on April 22, a terrorist attack took place in the mountainous Pahalgam district of the Jammu and Kashmir administration, killing 26 tourists.

Jammu and Kashmir has been at the epicenter of a territorial dispute between Pakistan and India for the past 70 years.

India has said that militants linked to Pakistan were involved in the killing of the tourists. Islamabad has denied any involvement in the incident.

In response, India withdrew from the Indus Waters Treaty by closing the gates of dams located on its territory. Pakistan had previously stated that it would consider such actions an act of war.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 28, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif called an Indian invasion inevitable. He also said that Islamabad was considering the use of nuclear weapons.
