Kremlin appoints new "curators" in ROC to work in Ukraine - Defense Intelligence

The aggressor state of russia has appointed new representatives of the russian orthodox church (ROC), responsible for promoting the ideas of the "russian world" in Ukraine.

This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

Thus, according to the Defense Intelligence, the so-called "church figures" are to organize and coordinate contacts with religious organizations, the management center of which is located in russia, and other pro-russian elements in Ukraine, pass on to them instructions from the russian special services and control the implementation of provocations in the interests of the Kremlin.

The list of such persons includes:

• Metropolitan Anthony (Anton Yuryevich Sevryuk) - head of the department for external church relations of the ROC, close to Patriarch Kirill. Has extensive connections in international church circles and actively promotes the political interests of the Kremlin under the guise of church diplomacy.
• Metropolitan Dionysius (Pyotr Nikolaevich Porubay) - Metropolitan of Omsk and Tavrichesky, an active propagandist of the Kremlin ideology and the concept of the "russian world".
• Metropolitan Aaviel (Georgy Vasilyevich Ponomarev) - Patriarchal Vicar of the Moscow Metropolis, responsible for the work of the russian orthodox church in neighboring countries.
• Metropolitan Varsonofy (Anatoly Aladimirovich Sudakov) - Head of the St. Petersburg Metropolis, closely connected with the security forces of the russian federation. Actively participates in the implementation of propaganda activities under the guise of church activities.

"Under the guise of "religious cooperation", the ROC continues to function as an instrument of russia's hybrid influence aimed at destabilizing the situation in Ukraine", the Defense Intelligence emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Security Service reported in absentia on suspicion 14 "senior officials" of the russian orthodox church who contributed to the seizure of Ukrainian churches in the temporarily occupied territories.

Meanwhile, propagandists of the aggressor country of russia have spread a video of men allegedly fleeing from a church in Ukraine with Easter baskets from representatives of the territorial recruitment and social support centers.
