In 2024, compared to 2023, Ukrposhta joint stock company reduced its loss by 48.1%, or by UAH 383.157 million, to UAH 413.204 million.
This is announced in the Ukrposhta statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the company's financial statements, confirmed by an independent international auditor, Ukrposhta's revenue in 2024 increased by 12.1%, or by UAH 1.3 billion, to UAH 12.9 billion compared to 2023.
The value of EBITDA (earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortization) amounted to UAH 659.3 million, compared to UAH -22.9 million in 2023 and UAH -462.8 million in 2022.
Key drivers of the company's growth in 2024:
- revenue from international postal exchange - +45%;
- payment acceptance - +28.3%;
- EMS expedited international delivery - +26.6%;
- international shipments (small packages) - +25.5%;
- parcels - +10.8%.
It is noted that the main factors that formed the loss were currency fluctuations (UAH 246.9 million) and costs for maintaining property, the sale of which was legally blocked (UAH 43.2 million).
In total, the company paid UAH 3.1 billion in taxes, fees and mandatory payments in 2024, which is UAH 124.0 million more than in 2023.
Ukrposhta director general Ihor Smilianskyi declared almost UAH 4 million in wages in 2017.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, Ukrposhta joint stock company reduced its loss by 34.5%, or by UAH 225.6 million, to UAH 428.124 million.
In early April 2025, Ukrposhta director general Ihor Smilianskyi responded to a request made by MP Oleksii Honcharenko to the State Audit Service regarding the bonuses received by the company's management and explained the reason.
The adjusted salary of the director general of Ukrposhta joint stock company Ihor Smilianskyi for December 2021 was UAH 1.331 million.
Ukrposhta JSC is the national postal operator of Ukraine.
The founder and shareholder of Ukrposhta is the state represented by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
