Russia preparing population for drop in living standards - CCD

The authorities of the aggressor country of russia are trying to prepare the population for a decrease in budget revenues, which in turn will lead to a drop in living standards. This is stated in the message of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council.

According to the CCD, at the expanded board of the Ministry of Finance of the russian federation, the head of the department Anton Siluanov was forced to admit that the "stressful situation in the oil market" forces "to bring expenses to new realities", so "we will have to be somewhat more modest in our desires".

"During 2025, russia will record a drop in budget revenues due to a drop in oil prices and Western sanctions. In March, russia's oil and gas revenues fell by 17%. It is predicted that by the end of April the drop will reach 22%", the CCD noted.

The CCD also noted that, despite the fact that the decline in oil prices will soon lead to a significant drop in the living standards of ordinary russians, the Kremlin's priorities remain payments to contractors for the war against Ukraine and investments in weapons production.

"Not wanting to end the war, the Kremlin will continue to save on its own citizens," the CCD emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the aggressor country of russia is preparing to ease some international sanctions on oil production. Russian oil producers are drilling wells at the fastest pace in five years.
